Before I started the rehearsal, I made sure to warm up my vocals. An exercise I performed was humming in different octaves. Doing this ensures that my throat is clear and able to perform to the best of it's ability. In this rehearsal, I tried to add movement to my solo song from Jekyll and Hyde. I think that I need to improve my posture more, and try to stick in one place; that way, the audience won't have to keep tracking me as I move around the space (1:10 - 1:15), and it gives the piece a more static and thrilling feeling, which the piece is meant to entail. I think that I need to work on some of the higher notes as belting in a chest voice can be very straining, which means I need to warm up and cool down more, and make sure that I drink a lot of water and be careful of what I might eat on the performance.
